About Me…
Hello, and welcome to my blog.
My name is Louise. I am 38 years old and live in London, United Kingdom. I am a proud mother to my son, who is now 22 years old. Becoming a parent at the age of 16 was both challenging and life-changing, and it shaped much of the person I am today.
For as long as I can remember, I struggled with severe menstrual health issues. After the birth of my son, my symptoms became increasingly difficult to manage. In 2013, I experienced an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in emergency surgery and the removal of my right fallopian tube. Although it was an incredibly difficult time, it was only one chapter in a much longer health journey.
Over the years, I faced countless hospital visits due to chronic pain and unexplained symptoms. I experienced severe abdominal pain, persistent back and leg problems, and at times even lost feeling in my lower limbs. Despite numerous appointments and investigations, I spent many years without clear answers.
In 2017, I met the man who would become my husband, and in 2023 we were married. Shortly after our wedding, I underwent surgery and finally received an official diagnosis of Endometriosis. After years of uncertainty, having a name for what I had been experiencing brought both relief and a new set of challenges.
Outside of my health journey, photography has always been one of my greatest passions. I love capturing moments and finding beauty in everyday life & even racing through my lens. Although my health has sometimes made it difficult to pursue this hobby as much as I would like, it remains something that brings me joy and comfort.
Writing has also become a source of strength, particularly during my most difficult days. When my symptoms make it hard to do much else, I often find myself sitting down and putting my thoughts onto paper. It was a friend who suggested that I start a blog, to share my experiences, raise awareness, and perhaps help others who may be facing similar struggles.
So, that's exactly what I've done.
This blog is a place where I will share my journey with Endometriosis, the realities of living with chronic illness, my experiences as a wife and mother, my love of photography, and the lessons i've learned along the way. Most importantly, I hope that anyone who finds themselves here knows they are not alone.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you'll join me on this journey.
